Peer editing plays a crucial role in the scientific world - especially important for high school researchers first starting. What is special about the HSHRF process is that it hopes to foster benefits on both ends of the party. Submit work for peer editing or become the peer editor. This process provides insights as to how to improve the quality of research papers. What is peer editing?



From a research standpoint, peer editing allows a peer to read and edit a piece of your research, locating errors or ways to improve it. These errors may include any clarity issues with content or diction, or simple grammar errors.

The HSHRF Peer Editing System is secure, straightforward, and supportive. Here is how it works:

  1. Become a Member

Become a member by simply signing up with an email! Your HSHRF Peer Editing journey will start once you have become a member by creating an account. Now, begin the process!

  1. You may submit your research works for student peer editing

  2. You may practice the peer editing process by requesting a piece for editing

2. Choose your options



  1. Upload your research document (PDF) linked through a button found on the member peer editing dashboard.

  2. The team will conduct an initial review to ensure it meets basic guidelines.

  3. Your work will be displayed on the member dashboard for students who decide to “Become the Editor,” so they are able to download the PDF. To be clear: your research will NOT be harmed, as submissions are required to be in the PDF form.

  4. You will receive a new document by email when done. (Please note it dates of send-backs are not fixed. Please note how urgent you need your edits back).

Option 1: Submitting Research for Peer editing

Become the peer editor by visit your member dashboard and finding a project/piece to download.

Once you are done with your edits, return to your member peer editing dashboard to submit a PDF of the new document as well as fill out additional information about the original author's work.
