the High School Health Research forum.

The High School Health Research Forum is a community that shares the fun of curiously endeavoring to learn more and improve human health from what starts as Google searching and questioning.

In 2024, we realized that many high school students have innovative ideas and a strong enthusiasm for clinical - medical - health research. HSHRF was established as a coalition, with this online platform at its foundation, dedicated to unifying students who share your health-related or research-related passion, no matter where you reside.

Start your High School Health Research Forum (HSHRF) journey by exploring the platform. Here, you'll find the motivation to dive deeper into your research, receive, whether large or small, feedback from your student peers, and of course, connect with fellow high schoolers. Learn about exciting research projects through the HSHRF Expo, send in your work-in-progress research through the HS peer editing system, or brainstorm and turn your ideas into real-world health solutions through the collaboration system.

Enjoy the process of learning and creating alongside new friends. The journey is just as important as the destination. The forum is thrilled to welcome new members, all to work together to shape the future of health through research. In solidarity through HSHRF, high school students can energize themselves and put another foot forward within the health research industry. Join us and be part of an initiative that is already underway.

FAQs

  • The High School Health Research Forum (HSHRF) sets itself apart by prioritizing youth representatives in the health research field and maintaining a continuous network of young researchers by keeping the platform entirely managed by high school students nationwide. The meaning of HSHRF is in the word forum—It is a dedicated space for ongoing meetings and meaningful exchanges, whether synchronously or asynchronously, where students can continue to connect, collaborate, and learn through research expos, online seminars, free student-made resources, and the peer editing process. With this process, you can confidently submit your research and receive edits from student peers who share your passion. You will walk out of being part of HSHRF with a boosted passion and a guided academic journey.

  • In order to securely and properly carry out the peer editing process, the platform requires you to become a member (sign up) or log in to get started. Students can then submit their research for edits or choose to practice the peer editing process. Those who submit their pieces for peer editing will receive their edited piece in their inbox when their editor has completed their edits.

  • You may share any health-related research, whether they are original studies, literature reviews, case studies, and more. HSHRF supports a wide range of topics within the research field - however, you must be able to identify if your research falls under the category of "health." Please refer to the submission guidelines for the HSHRF Expo for more details.
